Dementia Action Week at Cafe 23

We had a wonderful morning with Lucinda from Horizon Rehabilitation putting us through our paces with her seated exercises!
A big thank you to Julie from Dementia Support Bucks who came along to share details of the service and the support they can offer with the group.
Another big thank you to Judy and Liz who joined us from the Chesham Bois WI and supplied us with lovely home made cakes.
The benefits of coming along to a memory cafe can include making new friends, peer support from others who are in a similar situation, experiencing a variety of activities and entertainment and being in a supportive community environment. It helps reduce isolation, gives people something to look forward to and a routine to their week.
The team of volunteers at Cafe 23 are passionate about helping people live well with dementia
