It’s Dementia Action Week and to help raise awareness of dementia and the importance of memory cafes in the community we were joined by Councillors Kelly Thornton, Jonathon Allum, Joseph Noaman, Deputy Mayor Jim Brown and Larissa Goff from Hub Care Support.
This gave us the opportunity to share what we do, and the positive impact Cafe 23 has on the people who come along.
The variety of activities we provide allow a fun and engaging experience which promotes social interaction and reduces the risk of isolation or loneliness. It also provides peer support for those who are caring for someone living with dementia.
